Scientists
think they can now tie dark streaks(條紋)
seen on the surface(表面) of Mars
to periodic flows of liquid water.
Data from a Nasa satellite(人工衛星)
shows the features, which appear on slopes(斜坡),
to be associated with salt deposits(鹽類沉積).
Crucially, such salts could alter(替換)
the freezing(冷凍) and vaporization(蒸發)
points of water in Mars's sparse air, keeping it in a fluid(流體)
state long enough to move.
Michael Meyer, the lead scientist
on Nasa's Mars exploration programmed, and Dr Jim Green, Nasa's planetary
science director, made the announcement.
"Under certain circumstances(情況),
liquid water has been found on Mars," Dr Green said.

It is amazing that there is water on Mars. But I still want to stay in Earth, here is my home, where the other planets cannot take place. Maybe we should find out the solutions to make Earth much better, instead of exploring the Mars.
回覆刪除It is very happy to hear that there is water on Mars.But I think if want to live on Mars,it's not only the water problem but also have many things have to worry,so I think improving the earth is the beat choice.
